The Hospitium Wedding

Jo & Dan

The Hospitium York Wedding Photography

Enjoy these wedding Photos from the lovely Spring wedding of Jo & Dan at the Hospitium in the Museum Gardens in York.

I always think that Hospitium York Wedding Photography is one of the venues that doesn’t require any particular weather. The ruins always look great! Bride & Groom Jo and Dan were incredibly lucky as the York weather was kind to them and they sunshine and daffodils as well as the stunning ruins !

I have photographed the Bride Jo before but in different circumstances – head shots at work ! Its always a massive compliment to be asked by someone who I have photographed at work to be their wedding photographer.

We also met up for a Hospitium York Engagement shoot- Jasper the dog got ti join I on the Engagement shoot – with was important as we was not at the wedding day. You can check out some pictures here

The Hospitium is in the Museum Gardens in York so we went for a nice spring walk with Jo & Dan in the stunning museum gardens. Jasper their new puppy also came along!

Hospitium York Wedding Photography – The Venue

“The 14th century Hospitium is a two-storey listed building set within the beautiful York Museum Gardens in York city centre, overlooked by the striking ruins of the Grade 1 listed St. Mary’s Abbey.

The Hospitium is our most versatile venue available throughout the day and evening. It’s licensed to hold weddings and civil ceremonies, and can also host unique conferences, workshops, private parties, trade fairs and more. The Medieval rooms and garden setting are beautiful and atmospheric”

I love shooting Weddings  at the Hospitium, its setting in the Museum Gardens gives so many lovely backdrops for your York Wedding Photography. York Museum Gardens wedding photography is a dream! You can check out more Hospitium Weddings on my blog here

Bride and groom portraits in the museum Gardens York

My style

“The majority of what we capture will be candid moments you’ll cherish forever.  We think its important to have some stylish portraiture too. So we will take you aside for a few minutes and create some portraits of the two of you together. It will be relaxed, spontaneous and quick so you can get back to your guests and enjoy your day.

Nobody likes hanging around and posing for ages. We will make it relaxed and quick so you can then enjoy the party.  Both of us have an unobtrusive approach. We blend into your day to be able to capture subtle interactions and tender moments. They will transport you back to the day for years to come.

Many people these days claim to shoot in a “documentary” or “photojournalist” style. If thats the kind of photography you want then make sure you book someone who has the genuine experience necessary to produce beautiful imagery whatever the situation.”
