Harrogate & Yorkshire Wedding Photography 2020 round up

2020

Harrogate & Yorkshire Wedding Photography  – 2020 The strangest year yet.

As a photojournalist I tell stories through pictures- your wedding day is a wonderful story what ever restrictions are in place. Usually at this time of year I publish my favourite wedding photography from the last year.  Obviously 2020 has been a strange year for everyone. With the forever changing restrictions and lockdowns due to Cover19 Wedding season 2020 has been badly affected.

So many weddings have been postponed. Im lucky that I have managed to fit in all couples new wedding dates for postponments to 2021 / 22. My fingers are so tightly crossed that the wedding season will be back to normal really soon.

Only in the darkness can you see the stars

Despite all the stress and setbacks 2020 has show us, so many beautiful weddings have been able too happen. With cut down guest lists, no dancing or hugging and masks hiding peoples smiles… But they happened & love won.

Each and every wedding I have shot this year has blow my mind with just how amazing it has been.

The resilience and love shown through the hardest of times had been really inspiring. Celebrating love doing a global pandemic is so special.  So thank you for letting me capture your happy memories…. seeing the unique situation, families celebrating together but from a distance, online congregations dressed up & watching online… being able to record this strange year has been a privilege as a photographer- to be able to capture you happiness in an uncertain time has been wonderful . You have been shining stars in the dark sky that 2020 has continud to show us. All the extra emails, texts and calls with my couples as things kept changing – its been stressful at times, but feel I have a  fantastic connection with you all! – We made it happen and it was amazing.

I’m more grateful that ever before that I’m able to make a living doing something I truly love and for the most awesome people.

Engagements shoots

During the lockdowns its been hard. So many of you not able to get married on your original date. Some not able to get married on your 2nd or 3rd date….Its been  so so lovely to be able to meet up and make some lovely memories for you with engagement or family shoots. The  extraordinary circumstances meaning we have had socially distanced shoots- its been heartwarming to be able to celebrate your love.

Ready for you 2021

So many wedding booked in for 2021! Some new booking & lots of postponed form 2020 – I know many of you will be getting married regardless of the restrictions. Some of you will be waiting till things are more “normal” again. I’m with you on whatever you decide to do. I strongly believe that your wedding day should be as much a possible about what is important to you. I can’t wait to be part of your celebration whatever it looks like.
