A beautiful York Hotel located with great connections for exploring the city. Middletons Hotel also hosts weddings! 

The wedding ceremony took place at St Marys Church in York. One of the oldest in the city this church holds so much amazing history. “St.Mary’s is a wonderful building; its architecture is amongst the oldest in the City. The tower is built of stone from the Roman period and is quite unique. In Roman York, Bishophill was the site of the civilian settlement. When the tower was built hundreds of years later, much of the stone  was re-used.The stones in the tower are mainly millstone grit and limestone; there are also a few bits of Roman tile”

One of the things that is usually difficult with Weddings in York City Center is the driving / parking ! However this wedding was all walkable from one venue to the next . This was so lovely ! It also added a lovely dynamic to the day,. People could walk and chat together and it felt way more sociable than when people drive between venues !
