A Yorkshire Village Wedding

Simon & Jess got ready at the family home then had a beautiful weddingceremony ( with their dog as the ring bearer !) in the local church in Green Hammerton.

Green Hammerton is a stunning little village not far from York. They were so lucuky with the weather. After teh church ceremony they and enjoyed drinks in the sunshine outside the village hall. After they had some drinks in the village they headed on a vintage bus into York city center for their wedding meal at the amazing Forge.

York is such a fantastic location for wedding photography! The city has a perfect mix of historic charm and picturesque spots. Whether you’re looking for classic shots around the city walls, intimate moments by the River Ouse, or something more grand at one of the beautiful venues, York has so much to offer.

We were really lucky that in the evening we took a walk down The Shambles.

Shambles is one of York’s most famous landmarks and one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe. With its cobbled streets and overhanging buildings, it is believed to have been the inspiration behind Diagon Alley from the movie adaptation of the Harry Potter series!
