Wedding Photographer Wharfedale Grange

I loved being the Wedding Photographer at Wharfedale Grange for Jonathan & Katherine. What a totally special day! After two failed attempts to get married – due to covid lockdowns – it was 3rd time lucky for this beautiful Bride & Groom. After a lot more than expected wedding panning they finally didi it! I think that their smiles say it all!

Wedding Photographer at Wharfedale Grange- The Venue

This venue is pretty special and I love it.  I converted a cow shed into a house just before covid & shortly after Wharfedale Grange had been transported from a working farm into a luxury wedding venue. So I have a real admiration of the creative and tasteful way that this venue has come together. It makes an awesome spot for a wedding day- either a recaption party or a wedding ceremony too.  Set just between Harrogate & Leeds at the bottom of Harewood hill Warfedale grange boasts amazing views but also has great transport links.

Its rustic grounds get beautiful sunsets and look lovely throughout the changing seasons. Wharfedale Grange is made up of lots of individually designed former agricultural buildings. They have been renovated back into life so they can be loved once again. Back in the day, Wharfedale was a working flower and fruit farm and now we celebrate weddings instead of the change in seasons.

Its history as a flower farm are still rooted in the wedding venue today and you can get your wedding flowers from Wharfdale floristry. 

It also has luxury accommodation in the farmhouse , if you would like to stay over the night before, this really does add extra magic to your wedding day when you wake up at the venue ! The venue itself is spectacular… 

The North Barn is a super romantic ceremony space, with beautiful polished concrete floors and fairy light wall it really does have the own factor. The room seta sup to 200 people.

The South Barn is another huge space with wow factor decor. incredible chandeliers & a massive glitter ball, lots of fairly lights rustic trestle tables and luxury chairs, candles. 

The Cart barn – an awesome bar area ! All the Gin, armchairs lovely lighting and beautiful architecture!

The Arbour – A lovely outdoor setting of you are lucky enough to be able to have an outdoor wedding in Yorkshire ! It does happen, and when it does its perfect !

Katherine & Jonathan’s Wedding Day

The day began with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at the family home near Leeds. Katherine sister has also been trying to get marries through the pandemic.  I was lucky enough to also Photograoher her wedding day at the lovely Goldsborough Hall. So with both the sisters getting married the same year the family was full of wedding excitement ! Covid had not name the wedding planning very easy for them. They both work in healthcare too so the wedding planning I think was a much needed positive for the year !

Katherine & Jonathan had a beautiful church wedding ceremony at Immaculate Heart of May Catholic Church.

After the wedding ceremony they headed over to the amazing Wharfedale Grange near Harewood for the wedding reception.

This is the first time I have photographed a wedding in the incredible new barns at Wharfedale Grange. When I shot the wedding of Sam & Jane tit was before there was a proper wedding venue on thethe site & they rented out the land , Sam & Jane had a tipi in the grounds. 

Katherine and Jonathan’s wedding day was so lovely, the very special vibe of weddings that have been postponed fro the pandemic is something I cant really out into words. One of my favourite photos from the day was Katherine hugging her grandma – a moment that
