The Priory Cottages Wedding Photography Testimonial
Wedding Photography Priory Cottages “We asked Bethany to photograph our wedding – we booked her as soon as we’d confirmed our venue! Beth shot my sister Ruth’s wedding and did such a brilliant job we wouldn’t have dreamed of asking anyone else. We both love Beth’s reportage style, and having seen her in action at my sister’s wedding knew that she would be great to work with. Beth was super organised, very professional but also warm and put everyone at ease. She really listened to what we wanted. She seemed to be everywhere without ever getting in the way or being obtrusive. We would thoroughly recommend Beth, and are thrilled with our stunning wedding photos they are incredible, Beth did an amazing job.” Jen & Rhys

Church Wedding
We got married in the village church in Whixley in North Yorkshire, where I grew up. My three sisters all got married at the same church. So it was so lovely to get married in such a beautiful building so near to home.
Wedding reception at The Priory Cottages
We chose Priory Cottages as our reception venue. From the first visit we were blown away at how beautiful the venue is and how great the staff are. We were made to feel incredibly welcome. Serena and her team were just fantastic from start to finish. We liked that we could really make the place our own, with exclusive hire from the Friday to Sunday, and that the wedding party was able to stay in the beautiful cottages.
Wedding Dress
I chose the Pronovias “Ankara” dress, from Mirror Mirror in Angel, which is a fitted dress in silk crepe with lace applique and beading, and a sweetheart neckline with full train. I felt like a princess when I put it on, I absolutely loved it! The ladies at Mirror Mirror were brilliant, really patient, friendly and knowledgeable.
Grooms outfit
Rhys hired navy blue tails, with a buff waistcoat from Harrogate Suit Hire in Panel. The team there was fantastic, and very accommodating (particularly as we had people travelling from all over the country on different dates for fittings). He wore a Tom Ford tie and an antique gold tie pin that his parents bought him as a wedding present.
Wedding transport
We hired a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from Keith Snowden wedding cars. It was an absolutely beautiful car and KS wedding cars were great.
Our family friend, and award winning florist, Carys Harrison did all of the wedding flowers.
Hair
Westrow Wetherby: from the first enquiry, the ladies at the salon were so friendly and welcoming. Sally came to my family home on the morning of the wedding to do our hair, and was just brilliant. She had really put me at ease at my hair trial, and on the morning of the wedding was so warm, friendly and professional, and we all loved our wedding hair.
Makeup
Ariana Rose: I found Ariana online, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very professional and warm, and put all of us at ease on the morning of the wedding. She really listened during my makeup trial, and created a natural makeup look which I absolutely loved (and it lasted all day).
Videographer
Marriage in Motion, who were absolutely fantastic and our wedding video is more beautiful than we could ever have imagined. They captured such lovely moments without ever being pushy or obtrusive.
Harrogate Nail Bar – The ladies did our nails (including a mini mani for one of our flower girls) the day before the wedding and looked after us all so well. A really lovely salon with fantastic staff, and great quality manicures.
Invites
We ordered our invites in Welsh and English from Peachy Prints UK on etsy, and were so happy with the result.
Engagement ring/wedding bands – Gee Woods sourced and reconditioned my antique trilogy engagement ring, and also made our gold wedding bands with Welsh engraving. Gee is brilliant, and very talented.
