Tanfield House Ripon Wedding Photography. Like most other coupes Ranji & Vandan had postponed their wedding 3 times due to the covid pandemic! Lucky their 3rd date could go ahead. Who I arrived at Tanfield house the sun was just coming up right outside the brides bedroom window, it was a big pink sunrise over the misty yorkshire countryside and I knew it was going to be a magical day.

Ranji & Vandan had two wedding celebrations planned. A legal ceremony at the Registry office on Harrogate and their Hindu Wedding ceremony. They chose the beautiful venue of Tanfield House near Ripon for their Indian wedding celebrations. The contrast between the rugged yorkshire countryside in the winter with the vibrant and stunning traditional Hindu outfits was just amazing.

I have been a North Yorkshire wedding photographer for over ten years but this was my first visit to Tanfield house near Ripon. In the stunning little village of West Tanfield this little jem is a quirky little home that you can get married in. Its set on the river bank with wonderful views down the river and over the rolling fields.

So this lovely bride and groom originally had a big wedding planned. They had to cut their guest list back from 200 to 15!

The day began early with the bridal prep followed by traditional Hindu rituals. They had almost 300 people all around the world watching online – something so special and so 2020! Ranjis had hair and make up by Debs loves hair
