Suffolk Barn Wedding at Hawstead, Suffolk

Suffolk Barn Wedding at Hawstead

Suffolk Barn Wedding at Hawstead – Suffolk is not an area i’m that familiar with- I knew the Groom Edward as a kids as our parents were friends so we spent many years holidaying together at the seaside.

Ruth got ready at her parents cottage where she grew up in the lovely little village of Honington in Suffolk, the cottage was opposite her old school where she met one of her bridesmaids!

The beautiful thatched cottage, was also opposite the church – All saints Church – so only a short walk to the wedding ceremony. The weather was a perfect British summers day, blue sky’s, green trees and not a could to be seen.

Ruth is a seamstress in the West End and made her own Wedding Dress! The girls had their hair and make up done Joanna Smedley,

As they were getting ready they watched the royal wedding of Harry & Meghan to add to the wonderful wedding atmosphere !

The bridesmaids wore blue dresses from Belle Boutique UK

The Bridal flowers were by The Flower Jar London  and tied in the beautiful blues in the bridesmaids dresses .

The Wedding Ceremony was a lovely traditional service with some incredible sining (Ed works in the classical music industry).

We took a walk down a lovely country lane to take some Bride & Groom shots before heading onto the Wedding Reception.

The wedding ceremony the wedding reception was at Hawstead Barn a fabulous old Suffolk Barn. The views were stunning as people enjoyed drinks and canapés outside serenaded by some more amazing singing by the grooms friends. The delicious food was by Dandelion Catering

The wedding cake was made by a very talented friend of the Bride & Groom Finch and Garter

I loved that the Bride & Groom used a sward to cut the cake before hitting the dance floor to show off their perfectly rehearsed dance moves.

The evening entertainment was the awesome band  – Blue Lion Band
