I was thrilled to be asked t be the wedding Photographer for Sophie & Stuart. They got married at the lovely Newby Hall , North Yorkshire.

The Venue

Newby Hall is an 18th-century country house beside the River Ure in the parish of Skelton-on-Ure in North Yorkshire.

Sophie & Stuart

Sophie is actually a bit of a photographer herself so it was as huge compliment to be selected as their wedding photographer. In True Yorkshire style it was raining on Sophie & Stuart’s wedding day. Lucky as they live in Scotland they are a couple that are very used to rain!

The day began with the bridal preparations at Sophie’s parents house and included Sophie’s dads pet duckling ?! Sophie has chosen purple as here colour for the wedding. A lovely lilac shade. She has a traditional white wedding dress that looked amazing with her lilac flowers and lilac Bridesmaid. Her family home made a really nice setting for the morning prep and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxed. A perfect start to a wedding day. The Bride and Bridesmaid then travelled from Harrogate in a vintage wedding car up to the beautiful Newby Hall . The Driveway up to Newby Hall is just stunning and a lovely setting for a Yorkshire Wedding.

The Bride spent some time in the rooms at Newby Hall putting the finishing touches before the wedding ceremony.

Newly Hall has so many different options for weddings you can make the day exactly what you want and very personal. The grounds at Newby Hall are amazing and Sophie was happy t fined some purple flowers were our that fitted into the wedding colour scheme perfectly. The rain meant that we did have to be flexible with when we went out for photos but lucky the bride was well preparers with a beautiful umbrella and wellies s we made the most of the lovely grinds at Newby Hall for some wedding portraits.
