Laura & Steve’s wedding was everything I love about North Yorkshire! Barton-le-Street –  a small village near Malton was an idilic setting for a fabulous country wedding !

A marquee on the village green, a beautiful church and rolling farmland all came together to make this day really unique! Laura and her bridesmaids got ready at Cherrygarth Cottages just a short drive from the ceremony.

St Michael and All Angels Church, Barton Le Street is a magnificent church and I was so impressed when I walked in – the whole church was covered in candles and flowers and looked totally stunning.

I knew that Laura was going to be a very stylish bride and her flowers looked amazing – a rustic mix of cream roses and berries and heather – perfect for a autumn country wedding feel! Once Laura was in her dress I left for the church and to get some shots of the Marquee set up on the village green.

The Marquee had been decorated really individually for them and it looks divine with wellies full of flowers and ivy covered bikes. The bride had made natural confetti and we were lucky that the rain stays off so that we could throw confetti in the church yard after the marriage ceremony.

The weather was a muddy Yorkshire day – we took some Bride & Groom portraits on Laura’s family farm – beautiful Moody Yorkshire counytryside – followed by some family photos of the village green. The wedding breakfast was beef pie to finish off a truly rustic Yorkshire wedding. The speeches saw a lot of tears and then everyone hit the dance floor.
