The morning stared with the girls and family getting ready in a lovely old cottage overlooking Bolton Priory
Bolton Priory & Ruins
The whole area around Bolton Abbey is stunning and The Priory Church and Ruins is a really special place to be Married.
“At the heart of Bolton Abbey Estate lies the Priory Church and Ruins of an Augustinian Priory in its beautiful riverside setting. The land was gifted to the Augustinian canons by Alice de Rumilly in 1154. The canons lived and worshipped here until 1539 when the dissolution of the monasteries stripped the Priory of its assets. History lovers will enjoy the story of Prior Moone and how he negotiated with Cromwell to secure the nave as a place of worship for the local community and how the church continues to thrive to this day.”
Bridal Prep
The girls were being pampered – having hair and make up with the amazing Bow and Blush
Its always a good bridal prep when both Granny of the Bride & The brides dogs are getting pampered too. Moments like this is what make each wedding so so special.
Beautiful Bridal Flowres by The Priests House themselves !
Bolton Priory & The Priests House Wedding Photography – The Priest’s House Weddings
Its a really stunning and very unique wedding venue. You can see from the photos from Caroline and Wilf’s day as well as Claire & Angus’s or Naiomi & Bens
Even in the most wet and windy weather its still so beautiful !
Caroline’s Brides Dress was from Find a dress bridal wear. Designer was Madi Lane
Wedding Rings- Anais Jewellery and Brides earrings by Pollen and Plume
Once the bridal party was ready they were meeting a horse and carridge to take them down to the church ! Absolutely stunning by Ostler Carriage company
The dogs had some chill time with Faye at Bark and Ride before joining us for some photos later in the day – great idea for your fluffy friends!
Grooms Prep
Meanwhile at the grooms prep the boys were in a very tiny cottage – My lovely second shooter Emily was taking some candid shots of them. If you would like both Bridal prep and Grooms prep covering but are not staying together – having two photographers is the best way to do this.
Wedding Ceremony at Bolton Priory Church
Its a magnificent church for a wedding ceremony and you are also allowed to take photos around the ruins and estate if you use the Priory for your wedding. If you get married at one of the other Wedding venues around Bolton Abbey you may have to book a slot and pay for a shoot in the Estate.
Wedding Reception at Barden Tower
The thing about good photography is it captures way more than I can out into words 🙂 An epic part full with so much joy and good times…An amazing cake featuring the dogs, beautiful golden hour walk on the moor, lots of laughing, dancing, and I have to say the venue is brilliant, so helpful and a really lovely place to host your special day !
