“Bethany was recommended to us by a friend and we are so grateful that she was able to fit us in. The pictures are beautiful and we were instantly put at ease and knew we were in talented hands. We wanted candid photos and to document our wedding in the last week of the Covid restrictions and Bethany captured our day perfectly. We eloped to Harrogate with a few friends but Bethany went out of her way and came to our house a week later to capture us celebrating with our families. Couldn’t have asked for a more professional, fun and intuitive photographer and would highly recommend.”
Rewind to summer 2021 and that little heatwave we had! There were still some Covid restrictions in place. Alix and James decided elope to Harrogate to officially tie the knot.
They has a small wedding ceremony at Bilton House (Harrogate registry office) followed by some live music and fizz in the Valley Gardens.

A Harrogate Elopement
Alix & James had decided long before covid restrictions came along that they wanted a small intermit wedding. They then planned to host a family BBQ at their house and surprise their guests with a wedding photo – this would then become there wedding reception / celebration with wider family.
Alix had the most beautiful flowers made to incorporate special memories of her late mother. She and James walked into the ceremony together and had a handfull of friends witness the wedding ceremony.
As luck would have it the weather was just stunning.. infuse it was boiling! Alix had arranged another surprise for the guests. As they walked onto the lawn in the valley garden some live music began in the park. This was a truly a romantic and chilled celebration.
Micro Weddings and Elopements
One nice thing to come out of the pandemic is the increase in small weddings and elopements. It’s so special having a small wedding with just a handful of VIPs. The restrictions meant that many couples often to have a small wedding to gets the official part done and planning a larger wedding celebration once restrictions are lifted. I have really enjoyed these and think that couples have too. Every cloud ….
