A Glorious Summer Wedding at The Priests House, Barden Tower
Catherine & Mark’s Yorkshire Dales wedding at The Priests House, Barden Tower, was everything a couple could dream of on a hot summer’s day—laid-back, joy-filled, and surrounded by characterful countryside. As a wedding photographer passionate about capturing genuine, unposed moments, this day was a total dream.
From the peaceful bridal prep in Burnsal to the fun celebration at Barden Tower, every moment was soaked in sunshine and laughter. With their two young boys running wild and being dinosaurs. The day had that beautiful mix of romance and real life that makes relaxed wedding photography so powerful.
Bridal Prep in Beautiful Burnsall
The day began in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, in the charming village of Burnsall. Catherine got ready in a light-filled cottage at The Red Lion with her close family. Calm, collected, and glowing. Bridal preparations are one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph, and this setting couldn’t have been more perfect. We watched day trippers boat along the river to the soundtrack of the birds singing- super chilled perfect morning.
Catherine’s look was effortlessly elegant, echoing the rustic beauty of the day ahead. The vibe? Calm, authentic, and beautifully Yorkshire.
The Ceremony at Barden Tower – A Piece of Yorkshire History
The Priests House at Barden Tower is a truly magical North Yorkshire wedding venue. Set among ancient ruins and rolling countryside, it’s full of charm and character. The weather showed up too—sunshine and blue skies made this intimate ceremony feel like a fairytale.
Their ceremony was full of fun with fleeting glances that say more than words. I love capturing these unscripted moments. That’s the heart of documentary wedding photography: letting your day unfold naturally.
