In lockdown number one I got a call from a lady called Lynn. She was enquiring about me capturing some images of her friends 25 wedding vow renewal, at Yorebridge House.

The date was tbc once restrictions and lockdown was lifted but she wanted to book a photographer as a surprise gift  for her friends. I was so excited! What a great surprise gift to give someone! I also love Yorebridge House!

During the first lockdown everything was so unknown and so many couples were having to postpone their weddings it was lovely to have a booking for a tiny celebration that was determined to go ahead as soon was restrictions allowed.

Yorebridge House is a lovely little venue set in the most beautiful countryside. To see more Yorebridhe House wedding Photography take a look on my blog here

Ralf & Carolyn’s Yorebridge House vow renewal

When I arrived at Yorebridge House I was greeted by these smiling ladies. Me being there had been a surprise for Carolyn but also she has a surprise for her friends too! She has told her friends that there was a low key ceremony followed by drinks… little did they know there was much more!

Florence the vintage bus pulled out outside and I also had no idea what was about to happen ! It was a wonderful mystery tour.

The countryside was beautiful. We eventually arrived at the hamlet of Stalling Busk. A tiny church stood under a monkey puzzel tree and we were greeted by the local vicar who had the biggest smile to welcome us.

The Church of St. Matthew is a tiny little church perfect for the 12 friends to have a socially distanced ceremony. Having only a few close friends present for a blessing was so special. – This group had been friends for decades and it felt so poignant to be celebrating this doing a pandemic.

A Wedding Blessing

A shot vow renewal and blessing took place, before the party headed back onto Florence the bus. They had some champaign by the lake. The lake is actually Semerwater & made a lovely backdrop for some photos. The party then headed back to Yorebridge house for a dinner and relaxed drinks. It was such a pleasure to be party of this adventure.

I had originally only been booked for a hour as Lynn didn’t know about the magical tour… but it was wonderful. Every moment was filled with happiness and really was one of the best days of the summer.

2020 wedding season could not really happen at all. I was lucky enough to shoot a handful of micro weddings like this one and some elopements. Each one so individual and magical.

25 Years of love

I was so blown away by these guys – they have been married for 25 years and were still so full of fun and joy! Its such an amazing idea to have a vow renewal. If you are planning any kind of celebration drop me a line to chat in more detail.. I love an adventure 🙂
